As much as I love our parks and local libraries, I like checking out other indoor play areas that are age appropriate for my toddler. Frankie is 15 months and is now a lot more mobile- she’s busy walking , climbing , basically busy giving me mini heart attacks every now and then with her stunts. She also interacts really well with the world around her and has been such a good observer , so I think this is the perfect age to keep on introducing her to new play environments .
This environment in particular, got her SUPER EXCITED. She walked into Nubo all wide eyed and smiling. As soon as we went in, she let go of my hand and just walked everywhere ! I’m not going to pretend I wasn’t loving it just as much. I mean, it is the stuff parenting Pinterest boards are made of- white walls, Scandi / minimalist design, beautiful children’s books (some of which I have collected and some I mean to add to Frankie’s personal library) , wooden toys, lovely reading nooks. Not to mention the fact that it was pretty clean. I loved that there were toddler height hand washing facilities in the cafe and that there was a strict shoes off policy. This little book lover in her element.Pretend play. Frankie showing off her pie and we pretended to eat it. I think playing pretend does wonders for the mind in the making. Imagination is essential.Art class at Nubo. Frankie really enjoyed playing with markers in class. She didn’t always stick to the drawing wall through, sometimes she’d scribble on the furniture. Uh oh! Good thing these markers came of super easily!Love this little library and its collection of beautiful children’s literature. She loves story time and singing nursery rhymes. Nubo has story time and tea time for toddlers!
Wooden toys are wonderful tools that spark your child’s creativity . They’re also less toxic and they prettier than their plastic counterparts too!
The ball pit was definitely Frankie’s favourite part. The look of joy on her face was just priceless She just loves playing catch, throwing balls ( So much that it’s actually her first read word) This baby was in ball heaven. Whenever we’d relive the day and watch a video of her swimming in the pit , her eyes just light up with pure happiness!Outside food isn’t allowed in Nubo, but no worries as they have so much healthy options for you and your tot to choose from.
We chose her usual staple food at home- -carrots with hummus, avocado on toast and a fruit shake. It’s better to be safe and order the usual stuff she has at home, then risk eating all leftover food yourself. She had no time to be a picky eater and got hungry form all the exploring and chowed down.Frankie loves making faces and acting out emotions. The smile below through isn’t prompted and is proof she truly, truly enjoyed heralded ( as much as me! Haha!)Nubo, we will definitely be back!
